Michael Hack and Daniel Kletzky, two of the key figures behind the commercial hit series Street Fighter, will continue to work on the animated kids show, but at their own animation studio, InVision Entertainment.

InVision opens its doors after Graz Entertainment, the original producer of the Street Fighter show, closed earlier this year. Hack was part of the senior management and creative team at Graz and, in addition to Street Fighter, helped develop such shows as G.I. J’e Extreme, DarkStalkers and Stone Protectors. Hack is executive vice president of InVision.

Kletzky, who runs the independent licensing agency Entertainment Licensing Associates, is president of InVision. ELA specializes in the licensing of ancillary products based on character-driven entertainment properties. ELA has handled ancillary product licensing for the animated show Street Fighter as well as DarkStalkers, Mega Man and Street Fighter video games developed by game distributor Capcom.

Street Fighter, which was derived from the 1994 feature film starring Jean Claude Van-Damme and Raul Julia, has become of the world’s leading arcade and home-console games, as well as a hit TV show. Cartridge sales of the game for Nintendo and Sega have surpassed 13 million units worldwide. A new version, Street Fighter Alpha, is now on the Sony PlayStation platform.

The show premiered on the USA Network this fall and has been renewed for fall 1996.
