Ryan Mento, an 11-year-old boy from Old Bridge, New Jersey, will help out in an upcoming episode of the animated series Street Sharks.
Mento won a national on-line contest called ‘Become a DIC Cartoon Character’on ABC Kidzine, an on-line site designed for children. Over a period of five weeks, kids were asked why they wanted to become a DIC character. Mento’s submission was selected by a panel of judges.
DIC animators are already designing Mento’s character, based on a photo he provided.
ABC Kidzine will report the animation process on-line for the next nine months.
DIC Entertainment and Capital Cities/ABC Multimedia Group launched ABC Kidzine in February.
