PARIS: The Disney Magazine in co-operation with UNESCO held a children’s summit at Disneyland to discuss ‘Communication and the year 2000.’
Similar summit meetings are planned each year up to the year 2000. Some 600 children from 30 countries participated this year.
The Journal de Mickey selected a French elementary class from the northern French town of Dunkerque to attend the summit.
The summit’s three days of debates and discussion were transmitted to a Web site created for the occasion. An interactive line also allowed children from all over the world to follow the summit and exchange ideas.
