F.R.O.G. and Shining Time on track for Latin America
Children in Latin America will soon be tuning in to Shining Time Station and F.R.O.G. following deals between Catalyst Distribution and multicountry broadcasters. MVS Multivision will air 65 by 30-minute Spanish episodes of Shining Time Station, a co-production of Britt Allcroft and Catalyst Entertainment. It has also acquired the five hourlong TV movies based on the program. Discovery Kids, which kicks off throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on November 2, will broadcast the 20 by 30-minute children’s science series F.R.O.G., a production of Owl Communications.
3-D mice run the show at TF1
PARIS: TF1 has incorporated Bob and Scott, two 3-D mice created by Protécréa, into its early morning kids programming block ‘Salut les toons.’ The 111 x 10-second episodes serve to introduce cartoons.
Gaumont begins work on The Magician
PARIS: Gaumont Multimedia announced plans for a new 26 x 30-minute animated show, entitled The Magician, about a magician who uses his powers to thwart evil. Toy manufacturer Giochi Preziozi is financing the project and has worldwide licensing rights. The series will be available in fall 1997.
