– Warner Bros. International Theatrical Distribution (Burbank, California, 818-954-6000): Ivan Cheah to senior VP, Asia. Cheah continues to oversee the marketing and distribution of films released theatrically through Warner Bros. in Hong Kong, China, India and the Asian subcontinent, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand, as well as in the developing markets of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. Cheah also remains active in the acquisition and distribution of selected Asian films to be released in Asia under the Warner Asia banner, which he helped to create.
Europe
– BBC Worldwide Publishing (London, England, 44-181-576-2000): Rob Wijeratne to international licensing manager. Wijeratne is responsible for international merchandising in all territories, through BBC Worldwide Overseas offices and a team of appointed agents.
– Interactive Television Entertainment (ITE) (Copenhagen, Denmark, 45-33-26-5600): Tom Vedel to managing director. Vedel assumes responsibility for ITE’s head office. Jesper Helbrandt to director, sales and marketing. Helbrandt supervises ITE’s sales and marketing activities worldwide, excluding North and South America, and continues as managing director for IBS A/S, a separate company within the ITE group. Kim Ritzau to international sales manager, with responsibility for TV formats. Ritzau focuses on developing contacts with television stations, broadcasters and major production companies. President and CEO Ivan Solvason has relocated to the U.S. to set up ITE’s Los Angeles office. Also relocating to L.A. is Carlos Zalve, who holds responsibility for business developments throughout Latin America.
– Warner Bros. (Paris, France, 33-1-44-01-4999): Francis B’espflug to managing director, theatrical. B’espflug is responsible for expanding and strategically improving the distribution of Warner Bros. films in France. He will also nurture relationships with writers and filmmakers and will develop properties for Warner Bros. in France.
