The Cartoon Forum animates the town of Arles, France, from September 18 to 20, with over 130 potential investors expected to attend.

Neither fair nor festival, the event is billed as a ‘co-production forum,’ a gathering that allows European producers to negotiate financing for new projects. The session attracts financiers and key decision-makers from TV channels and book and video publishing companies across Europe. Over the three days, working sessions and meetings will unite interested partners to arrange co-productions.

Evening screenings of animated films will also be held in the historic town.

More than 100 projects introduced at previous forums are now in production or distribution.

Cartoon Forum is organized by CARTOON, with the support of the European Union’s MEDIA Programme.
