Warner Home Video, Continental Airlines and Princess Cruise Lines are giving a multimillion-dollar send-off to the upcoming video release of Swan Princess: Escape from Castle Mountain.
The partners are teaming up on promotions that include an in-pack savings voucher worth up to US$125 on Continental Airlines flights, a sweepstakes with Princess Cruise Lines for a free trip for four, a national television and print advertising campaign throughout the U.S., an instant-savings coupon of US$2 off other Warner Family Entertainment titles and point-of-purchase materials from Warner Family Entertainment, which is a division of Warner Home Video.
The Continental Airlines savings certificate can be used up to May 1998. TV spots will begin airing in September on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and Nickelodeon, and print ads will appear in publications such as People, Parent Magazine, Disney Adventures and Family Life. As well, to generate awareness of the property before the launch of the sequel video title, HBO will air the original Swan Princess in early September. Finally, shoppers can put the US$2 coupon toward the purchase of Warner Family Entertainment’s The Swan Princess, A Troll in Central Park, The Never Ending Story I & II and Rock-A-Doodle.
The video will be available in stores on September 2, and will carry a suggested retail price of US$19.96.
