The Reppies, a live-action children’s program on PBS in the U.S., is releasing its first home video, just in time for the holiday season. Atlanta, Georgia-based production and distribution company REI has entered into an agreement with PolyGram Video, a division of PolyGram Filmed Entertainment, to distribute A Merry Reppies Holiday Special starting this October. In the video, the half-human, half-dinosaur ReppiesÑLobo, Derango, Razz, Tessa and BumbaÑand their tutor, Miss Summerhayes, celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa through song and dance. The 45-minute title has a suggested retail price of US$12.95, and will be available in video stores throughout the U.S. The Reppies premiered in April 1996, and now airs on more than 150 PBS affiliates.
