Ocean Spray is the major promotional partner tied in to the mid-November launch of a direct-to-home video release of a new story based on the successful Disney animated feature Beauty and the Beast.

The promotion features a mail-in for a free collectible snow dome based on the video, which is an original story that takes place in the Beast’s castle prior to the time established in the feature film version. The story, titled Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, is set in a Christmas past when Belle tries to warm the Beast’s castle with the hope and spirit of Christmas.

The video is the first animated feature produced by Walt Disney Animation Canada, based in Toronto and Vancouver.

The Ocean Spray tie-in also includes a coupon offer for other Ocean Spray products. Media support begins with a national freestanding insert and a four-week TV campaign, along with in-store point-of-sale materials.

Retailers include major video chains, mass merchandisers, discounters as well as major drugstore and grocery store chains.
