Anyone of the thousands who will descend on Cannes this April will tell you that no two deals are ever the same, and that has never been more true as producers from around the world seek out one another to form oftentimes intricate production partnerships in an effort to get the project done. To illustrate the point, KidScreen’s main feature in our MIP-TV special report traces the evolution of six of these partnerships and the often bumpy road traveled to bring these shows to fruition. Also included: A survey of some of the non-fiction children’s programs up for offer and a look at how international children’s services are adapting to local markets and the ways that local programmers are responding to the competition.

In this report:
– Kids reality shows sell ‘edutainment’
– They’ve got the whole world in their plans
– Local programmers emphasize local character
– Sonic Underground
– Bob Morane
– The Myth Men: Guardians of the Legend
– Mumble Bumble
– Fix & Foxi
– Princess of the Nile
– MIP-TV Roundup
