Family Home Entertainment has joined with Fantastic Sams hair salons to promote its July 14 release of The Animated Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The campaign features a summer sweepstakes with four trips to Hannibal, Missouri (the birthplace of Mark Twain) and Branson, Missouri, as the grand prizes. The contest will run from August 1 to September 15, and will be supported by a US$2.5-million marketing program featuring prime-time ad spots on NBC, ABC, FOX, Nickelodeon, TNT, Lifetime and the USA Network.
