LONDON: Hit Entertainment has moved swiftly to fill the gap left by John Bullivant, who quit the company last month to join Pearson Television as head of co-production and acquisitions.
His position as Hit’s head of co-production and acquisitions will be taken by Peter Curtis, who is currently head of development at Hit.
Curtis, who will report to creative director Kate Fawkes, has been with Hit less than a year. He joined the studio from another independent production company called Workhouse.
In his new role, he will supervise the production of the animated series Bob the Builder (13 x 10 minutes) and Three Friends and Jerry, which is being produced by Norway’s Happy Life. He will also executive produce a new animation project, Sheeep, which is based on a Japanese children’s book.
In addition to promoting Curtis, Fawkes has poached Hibbert Ralph’s Karen Davidsen to be Hit’s head of production. At Hibbert Ralph, Davidsen was a producer on the series The Forgotten Toys and William’s Wish Wellingtons.
