A new kids channel called PBS Kids! will be unveiled in the next few months, according to Bob Ottenhoff, executive VP and COO of PBS. At a recent press conference entitled ‘Tele-Webbies: DTV@PBS.now,’ Ottenhoff and John Hollar, executive VP of PBS’s Learning Ventures, said that six PBS member stations are going digital in November, and soon thereafter, the network will have the capability to provide up to four multiple feeds to affiliates, one of which will be a full-time, designated children’s channel.
