Irwin Toy has been granted the exclusive U.S. rights to develop a range of toys modeled after the Japanese cartoon series, Dragon Ball Z. Over the next three years, Irwin will create action figures, vehicles, playsets and other accessories. Making their way to mass and specialty store shelves this fall will be two- and six-inch action figures of Gohan, Goku and other characters. The price points range from US$11.99 for a six-pack of two-inch figures to US$5.99 for each six-inch figure. Produced by Funimation Productions, Dragon Ball Z tracks the quest of Gohan, Goku and their fellow warriors as they try to unite the seven Dragon Balls that are scattered throughout the universe. In the last 10 years, Dragon Ball Z has appeared on television in Japan, Spain, Hong Kong, France and Mexico, and began airing five days a week on Cartoon Network on August 31.
