How can parents get their kids to read more books? Buy them the right movies, of course. That’s the scenario Kidflix.com and Barnes&Noble.com is hoping will play out en masse at their new virtual kids bookstore. Launched on KF’s site last month, barnesandnoble at KidFlix.com contains editorial content that’s designed to help parents make more informed kidvid purchases. The site will cross-link thousands of book titles with suggestions for appropriate videos, and will have links back to barnesandnoble.com. In addition to providing some of the store’s editorial content, barnesandnoble.com will also be arranging for prominent children’s authors to conduct live chats on the site.
