Barely three months after the release of their last video, Teletubbies Nursery Rhymes, the asexual, cherub-faced foursome is poised to annex even more shelf space at retail with Teletubbies Favorite Things (suggested retail price US$14.95). On May 11, Warner Home Video will begin distributing the video, which was produced by Ragdoll Productions in association with the itsy bitsy Entertainment Company and PBS Kids. The prebook order date for the vid is April 13. Retailers have the choice of ordering the tapes in 18- and 24-piece merchandisers, or in 36- and 48-piece interactive POP displays, which feature a talking Po. Promotions for the tape include a six-week nationwide QSR deal with Burger King, which kicks off on May 10. Burger King will highlight TFT in all of its Teletubbies TV and radio spots and print ads. Around the same time, ads promoting the video exclusively will run in People, Entertainment Weekly, Parenting, American Baby and Family Fun. Microsoft’s Teletubbies ActiMates dolls will be able to interact with TFT, as will the next Teletubbies video release, entitled Noo Noo’s Funny Day, which is slated to street in August.
