BBC Worldwide (London, England, 44-181-576-2000): Drew Kaza takes on the new position of managing director, Internet and interactive. Jeremy Mayhew is upped to director of new ventures and strategy from director of new media, and Michael Dobson has been named commercial manager, independent productions at the BBC Rights Agency.

Briarpatch (Milburn, New Jersey, 973-376-7002): Lauren Kallstrom Carmier joins as VP of sales and marketing for the children’s game company.

Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group (Burbank, California, 818-560-1000): Jason Reed has been promoted to VP after serving the company for four years in various creative executive posts.

Carlton International (London, England, 44-171-224-3339): Amelia Bedford joins as licensing executive for the consumer products group.

Cartoon Network (Atlanta, Georgia, 404-885-2263): Pola Changnon has been promoted to executive producer of Cartoon Network Online.

Columbia TriStar Television (Los Angeles, California, 310-202-1234): Sarah Timberman has been upped to executive VP of series development from her previous position as senior VP of drama, where she worked on Dawson’s Creek for Warner Bros. and Party of Five for Fox.

CTW (New York, New York, 212-595-3456): Renee Mascara has been promoted to associate VP of international television and will now manage TV sales for the territories of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean. Mascara was previously director of marketing and program development in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

DIC Entertainment (Burbank, California, 818-955-5400): Mary Talley comes on board as director of international licensing.

Electronic Arts (Redwood City, California, 650-628-1500): Steve Dauterman will head up EA Australia’s new development studio, Gold Coast-based Studio Asia Pacific. Dauterman was formerly director of development for LucasArts. James Halprin has also been hired as executive producer of sports titles at Studio Asia Pacific.

Fox Family Channel (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-5100): David McFarland has been named to the newly created post of VP of affiliate sales for Fox Family Channels. Eytan Keller has been named executive VP, reality programming and specials.

Good Times Entertainment (New York, New York, 212-951-3000): Pamela Ferris has been appointed director of product development and licensing.

Hasbro (Pawtucket, Rhode Island, 401-431-8697): Dan D. Owen takes over from John Barbour as Hasbro sector head of the specialty products group. He will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the OddzOn unit. Owen has been with the company since 1974. Thomas M. Klusaritz comes on board as VP of publishing development, heading up the newly formed Hasbro Publishing Group.

Iwerks Entertainment (Burbank, California, 818-841-7766): The high-tech entertainment attractions company forms a new executive team with Phil Hill as VP of engineering, Don Stults as VP of operations, Paul Smith as director of manufacturing, and Tom Prine as director of project services.

Klasky-Csupo (Los Angeles, California, 213-463-0145): Walter Santucci comes on board as a director for the commercial division.

Landoll (Ashland, Ohio, 419-281-1100): Richard L. Mallow joins the children’s books printing and publishing company as director of licensing.

Mainframe Entertainment (Vancouver, Canada, 604-714-2600): Ian Pearson, president of the computer animation company, takes over as CEO from Chris Brough, who left in July. Brough and Pearson co-founded the company in 1993.

Marvel Entertainment (New York, New York, 212-696-0808): Peter Cuneo has been hired as president and CEO of Marvel Enterprises.

NBC (Burbank, California, 818-840-7500): Lee Gaither is now VP of Saturday morning and family programs. Gaither was most recently director of narrative series at the Disney Channel.

Nelvana (Toronto, Canada, 416-588-5571): Cathy Laughton has been named managing director of the London office. Laughton is responsible for acquisitions of new properties for production and licensing development, as well as sales to Germany, the U.K., Scandinavia and Benelux. Laughton was most recently at The Jim Henson Company, where she served as director of international television distribution.

Nickelodeon (New York, New York, 212-258-7500): Laura Hunter has been promoted from VP of programming to VP of current series, West coast, Samantha Freeman has been upped to VP of licensing, and Dan Martinsen has been named senior VP of communications.

Nickelodeon Consumer Products (New York, New York, 212-258-7500): Maureen Taxter has been upped to VP of marketing and retail from her previous position as VP of licensing.

Nintendo of America (Redmond, Washington, 425-882-2040): Peter McDougall has been promoted from VP, GM to president of Nintendo Canada, where he heads up Canadian sales, distribution and marketing.

OddzOn (Napa, California, 707-251-3700): Ira Hernowitz has been promoted to VP of business development, responsible for expanding and managing the company’s e-commerce and Internet programs.

Saban International (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-5100): Gina Mace-Sands has been named director of consumer promotions at Saban Consumer Products. Maria Eugenia Torregrosa comes on board as director of international sales, and will oversee the company’s sales in Latin America.

Sega of America (Redwood City, California, 415-665-8000): Heather Hawkins joins the company as manager of gaming PR in preparation for this month’s Dreamcast launch. She was previously a PR specialist for Eidos. Scott Lambrecht has been hired as director of channel marketing. He will work with retailers to run in-store promotions for the new console.

Sony Online Entertainment (New York, New York, 212-833-6977): Robert Gehorsam has been upped to senior VP of programming and platform development. Jeffrey Steefel has also been named VP of the L.A. studio. Both are responsible for the company’s on-line game service.

Sony Wonder (New York, New York, 212-833-8100): Becky Mancuso-Winding has been named executive VP, Sony Wonder/SMV. She will be based out of the Santa Monica office. Therese Garnett has been promoted to director of Sony Wonder/Sony Music Entertainment Canada, working out of the Toronto office. Sandra Slessor has been named marketing manager, and Jenny Mulkins is now marketing coordinator for Sony Wonder/SMV Canada.

Stan Lee Media (Encino, California, 818-461-1757): Mark Lasoff has joined the company as executive VP to oversee production of the company’s upcoming superhero project.

Time Warner (New York, New York, 212-522-1212): Robert Daly and Terry Semel, the departing co-chairmen of Warner Bros., will be replaced by Barry Meyer, who steps in as chairman and CEO of the studio from his position as COO. Meyer named Alan Horn as Warner Bros. president and COO, from his position as chair and CEO of Castle Rock Entertainment. The appointments are effective October 4.

Toy Manufacturers of America (New York, New York, 212-675-1141): Laura Greene Goldstein is now director of marketing and shows, leaving Mecklermedia Corp.

Universal Studios Home Video (Universal City, California, 818-777-1000): Barbara Watts has been named VP of promotions. She was previously head of her own entertainment, marketing and promotions agency.

Toys `R’ Us (Paramus, New Jersey, 201-262-7800): John Barbour has been named president and CEO of toysrus.com. Barbour was president and CEO of OddzOn, the Napa Valley, California-based novelty toy company, and was sector head of the satellite business group of Hasbro.

Walt Disney International Europe (Paris, France, 33-1-53-75-5600): In conjunction with Buena Vista Internet Group, Walt Disney International Europe has appointed Andrew Barron executive VP of new media and business development for Walt Disney International Europe. Chafic Najia has been named senior VP and managing director of Buena Vista Internet Group Europe. They will be responsible for expanding Disney’s Internet, interactive TV and e-commerce ventures in Europe.

Warner Bros. (Burbank, California, 818-954-6000): Brad Turell has been promoted to the newly created position of executive VP of network communications at the WB Network.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (Burbank, California, 818-954-7890): Kevin Bricklin takes up the newly created post of director of book and magazine production for Warner Bros. Worldwide Publishing. Suzie Domnick has been named VP of marketing for DC Comics and theatrical properties for the company.

Warner Bros. Television (Sherman Oaks, California, 818-977-8700): Sharan Magnuson has been named senior VP of publicity, advertising and promotions. Magnuson makes the move from Fox Broadcasting, where she was VP of entertainment publicity. Lowell Mate has joined the company as VP of comedy.
