Starting in July, Discovery Networks International will launch a Discovery Kids programming block on its cable net in Japan. The two-hour block will air Saturdays and Sundays on Discovery Channel, which currently counts 1.9 million subscribers in Japan. The Discovery Kids lineup, which targets children ages eight to 12, will debut with Japanese-language versions of Naturequest, Buck Staghorn’s Animal Bites, So You Want To Be A Bat and Splat III.
