Cartoon Network Spain (Madrid, Spain, 34-91-436-7900): Asun Gil has been appointed channel manager from a previous position as head of research. She is charged with increasing viewership as well as moving the channel further into the area of new media and launching additional services.

Cinar (Montreal, Canada, 514-843-7070): George Rossi has joined the company as senior VP and CFO. Until his arrival at Cinar, Rossi was president of Omni Media USA, a subsidiary of the Astral Group.

Crown Entertainment (London, England, 44-207-368-9100): Audrey Iwanczyszyn, former BSkyB international distribution executive, has been named executive director of distribution and development for Crown Entertainment, the distributor of Hallmark Entertainment Network in the U.K., and senior executive for channel distribution throughout Europe.

Disney Consumer Products (Burbank, California, 818-560-1000): Tim Kilpin has joined the company as senior VP of toys after 12 years at Mattel, most recently as GM and executive VP of the character brands business unit.

Disney Store (Burbank, California, 818-560-1000): Laurie Beja Miller has been promoted to executive VP of merchandise and creative services for the Disney Store and Disney Direct Marketing from a post as senior VP and general merchandise manager for the Disney Store.

Film Roman (North Hollywood, California, 818-761-2544): Sidney Clifton has been promoted from director of television development to VP in charge of television. In her new role, Clifton will oversee all TV projects at Film Roman from development to network and cable sales, as well as the acquisition of literary projects for live-action and animated production. Uriel Sigala, previously technical officer for the company’s Level13.net website, has been promoted to chief technology officer.

Fox Family Channel (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-5102): Todd Schoen has joined the company as VP of affiliate marketing and local ad sales. In his new position, Schoen will be involved in developing the strategic direction for the channel’s distribution efforts. Schoen joined Fox Family from MTV Networks, where he served as VP of affiliate marketing.

Fox Family Worldwide (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-5102): Michael Madnick has joined the company as VP of special events. In this newly created position, Madnick will oversee the production of live events including Toy Fair, New York Licensing Show and Saban Summit. Madnick previously served as president and executive producer at 3rd Millennium Entertainment.

Fox Kids Europe (London, England, 44-207-554-9000): Fox Kids Europe revamps its on-line and interactive department with the following appointments and promotions. Maurice Van Sabben has been appointed director of business development, previously serving as head of development, digital services for Ono (Cableuropa SA), Madrid. Nick Harris joins as creative director from a design director position with Dorling Kindersley. Jason Robinson, formerly head of design for Dorling Kindersley’s on-line department, has been named head of design. As for action in other Fox Kids divisions, Phil Guest has been named GM of on-line and interactive for Fox Kids UK. Guest joins the company from a position as head of sales and business development at Capital Interactive, Capital Radio. Tom Jahr has been appointed GM of on-line and interactive for Fox Kids Scandinavia. Jahr joins the company from a position as marketing and managing director for Bonnier Multimedia AS, Oslo.

Igel Media Distribution (London, England, 44-207-494-2755):

Victoria Valius joins the company as VP of international sales, responsible for sales to Canada, Australasia and various European territories. Valius comes to Igel Media from a position as sales manager at Canada’s ChumCity International.

Saban International (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-5100): Julie Wineburg has been upped from VP to senior VP of international sales management. Maria Torregrosa has been upped from director of international sales to VP of sales.

Toys `R’ Us (Paramus, New Jersey, 201-845-5695): Francesca

Brockett has been upped from senior VP to executive VP of strategic planning and business development.

Toy Vault (Keavy, Kentucky, 606-864-8658): Jerry Ware joins the toy manufacturer as VP of sales and marketing. Ware was most recently director of marketing and development for the Knoxville Zoo.

Turner Entertainment Networks (London, England, 44-207-225-2552): Stephen Johnstone has been named head of interactive, taking charge of content creation across Internet, broadband, wireless, interactive and enhanced TV applications. With this appointment, Johnstone moves back to London from the company’s Madrid office, where he was channel manager for Cartoon Network Spain.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (Burbank, California, 818-954-7890): Melissa Wong has been promoted from director to VP of retail business development. Wong will continue to execute promotions, events and merchandise programs for major retailers on behalf of Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Karen Miller has joined as VP of property acquisitions. Miller was previously a producer with Warner Bros.’ Miller-Boyett-Warren Productions.

Walt Disney Studios (Burbank, California, 818-560-1000): Bob Chapek has been named president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment. Chapek most recently served as senior VP of marketing of the group. Dennis Maguire has been appointed president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment International from a post as senior VP of sales and distribution with the Home Entertainment Group.
