Magic is in the air this spring as Tiger Electronics prepares to unveil a selection of electronic toys for kids five and up based on the Harry Potter book series.

Built into a Quidditch broom that extends to 48 inches in length, the Harry Potter Quidditch Game (US$34.99 SRP) features motion sensors that allow kids to ride the broom while controlling the dot-matrix screen game play. Kids play as the Keeper, the Chasers, the Beaters or the Seeker and try to catch the Golden Snitch.

The Harry Potter E-Labyrinth (US$14.99) is a hand-held game featuring a four-way motion sensor to control character movement. By physically tilting the game unit up, down, left or right, players move Harry as they wish and view the movement on the LCD screen. In the game, Harry joins Ron and Hermione on the run from an evil troll that has invaded Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

In fall 2001, kids seven and up get the chance to cast a spell of their own with Tiger’s Harry Potter Book of Spells (US$24.99). Featuring a Harry Potter quiz game and organizer function with password protection, the Book of Spells is a personalized electronic encyclopedia on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Players can enter and save personal notes, learn the rules of the Quidditch, and pull up bios for characters, creatures, items and locations.
