French animation company Millimages has partnered in a new post-production shop called La Maison. Co-created with Annie Dautane (former head of the special effects department at Medialab Technology), Eve Ramboz and Luc Froehlicher, La Maison does digital visual effects for commercials, film and music clips, with an eye on the international market.
To Millimages topper Roch Lener, this partnership with La Maison brings creative and technical support. ‘Millimages is now able to produce programs that can use all the techniques of image production.’
Specializing in 2-D animation, Millimages recently developed Millimages Online for the production of web animation, partnering with Method Films on stop-motion shop Studio Amuse Films and with Marc Miance in motion-capture company Attitude Studio.
Since its February launch, La Maison’s 25 staffers at the facility based near Paris in Saint-Cloud delivered a new Depche Mode video to U.S.-based prodco Propaganda and a North American shampoo campaign, as well as supervising special effects for French movie The Samura-, produced by Fidélité Production.
