Marvel Entertainment has lined up a bunch of licensee deals across all core categories for its first self-produced feature films Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.
Slated for summer releases in 2008, the films are now playing into the master portfolio deals Marvel has cut over the last 18 months or so. Hasbro (master toy licensee), Hallmark (social expressions and party goods), Kids Headquarters (apparel), Jay Franco (domestics), Mad Engine (t-shirts), Fruit of the Loom (underwear), Disguise (costumes), BBC (footwear), Berkshire (headwear and cold weather gear), Mega Bloks (construction toys) and Jakks Pacific (plug-and-play games) have all snapped up the properties.
Iron Man hits theaters on May 2, 2008, while the newest re-telling of The Incredible Hulk stomps into cinemas on June 13, 2008. For licensees who want to get on board either program, the good news is that Marvel hasn’t filled up its dance card just yet and is looking to add to its roster of partners.
