Sunglasses for babies?

It’s true. Fisher-Price has announced a deal with Ontario, California-based Greattech Vision to produce a line of sunglasses for infants and toddlers. The glasses will start popping up at retail next month with two initial collections – one themed around Animals of the Rainforest and the other featuring the toyco’s classic Little People brand.

The glasses are made with scratch- and shatter-proof lenses that are 100% UVA & UVB protected and sport a lightweight nylon frame. Wal-Mart has already signed up and is pricing the wee specs at US$6.97 a pair.
