This weekend, the US’s largest standalone toy retailer Toys ‘R’ Us is kicking off a nationwide fundraising campaign to benefit charitable foundation Autism Speaks.
From March 18 to May 4, all 586 Toys ‘R’ Us outlets across the US will accept cash donations to support the charity’s effort to research and combat the disease.
The toy retailer will also spotlight the Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids, produced by the National Lekotek Center, an independent organization dedicated to children with disabilities. The guide features a unique toy list for kids that suffer from autism.
Shoppers can donate to the cause at the stores or online at www.Toysrus.com/autismspeaks.com. As well, a list of toys for autistic children can also be found on the website.
