3-D theater chain Real D scores major VC deal

Get out those funky glasses; it looks like 3-D may be coming to a city near you. L.A.-based Real D, the world's largest 3-D platform, has received a US$50-million shot in the arm from Shamrock Capital Growth Fund. The investment will support Real D's efforts to add 300 more screens to its 700-screen footprint by year's end.
