Discovery Kids will debut Wilbur as part of its Ready Set Learn block on April 16.

The preschool series features crew of barnyard animal buddies who investigate problems by reading books that come to life. These fantasy sequences are rendered using Shadowmation, a patented puppetry/animation technique created by Mitchell Kriegman and pioneered on It’s a Big Big World.

A co-production involving Mercury Filmworks, Chilco Productions, EKA Distribution, the CBC and Discovery Kids, Wilbur will air weekdays at 11 a.m. in between Bigfoot Presents: Meteor and the Mighty Monster Trucks and Toddworld.
