One-liners: Noteworthy news nuggets

• Toronto, Canada-based Cookie Jar Entertainment has signed a deal with Can-pubcaster CBC to broadcast the first 26 eps of Busytown Mysteries (Hurray For Huckle) as part of its Kids' CBC preschool programming block.


Foothill Entertainment in Santa Barbara, California has scored the worldwide (except Asia and Australasia) rights to Planet Bizzaro, The World According to Zoomer. The live-action puppet series produced by Studio Bizzaro was created by Brian Zimmerman and co-produced by Brad Bowyer.


PBS Kids Sprout is getting into the spirit of National Dance Week with the weeklong Sprout's Dance Party event, slated to air from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from April 20 to 27. Angelina Ballerina's All Dancers on Deck (April 20) and Angelina Ballerina's Princess Dance (April 21) will take their worldwide broadcast bows.
