Aardman and Sony close to first-look deal

Bristol, England's Aardman Features is in final negotiations on a three-year first-look deal with Sony Pictures Entertainment. The proposed agreement reflects SPE's strategy to expand its animation and family features output and complement its existing cache of family films, which includes last year's Open Season and this summer's CGI flick Surf's Up.
