L.A.’s MarVista Entertainment has sold CGI series The Zula Patrol south of the border to pan-Latin America channel National Geographic.
Zula will be the centerpiece of a new weekday morning preschool block called Nat Geo and Me that the net is debuting this month.
To build on the sales momentum, MarVista is bringing two full seasons (52 x half hours) of The Zula Patrol to MIPTV this month. Each episode tags along as zany aliens Captain Bula and Professor Multo investigate astronomy and scientific themes in a comical, kid-friendly way.
On the licensing front, 4Kids Entertainment is handling international rights on the property, and a line of science-inspired Zula toys are in the works.
