Nickelodeon and footwear manufacturer Stride Rite have inked a cross-promotion deal involving the SpongeBob SquarePants Friend or Foe network event and the new SuperBall Shoe.
Stride Rite’s running shoe for boys and girls has a ball on the heel designed to help kids achieve better balance and traction; it will be promoted through an advertising campaign across Nick platforms including on-air, online at Nick.com and in the pages of Nickelodeon Magazine. The on-air and billboard campaign starts today, along with an official SuperBall giveaway at participating retail outlets.
The Friend or Foe SpongeBob stunt centers around a five-hour interactive marathon airing April 13 that includes the premiere of a special episode at 8 p.m. The show delves into the back story of how best buddies Mr. Krabs and Plankton turned into mortal enemies.
