• NCircle Entertainment has taken on CGI preschool series Hopla from Belgium’s Bert Smets Productions, and will rep the property exclusively in TV broadcast and merchandising circles. A full 104 eps of Hopla are in the can, and Smets expects to deliver an additional 26 every year until 2011.
• Microsoft has added instant messaging capability to its Xbox 360 platform, bringing it one step closer to becoming an all-encompassing entertainment device. The free update will be available on May 7 through Xbox Live or Xbox.com.
