Blueprint buys its way into distribution

L.A.'s Blueprint Entertainment has used the funds generated by a recent VC investment led by Robert Lantos and Jeff Sagansky to acquire a significant stake in Toronto-based distributor Oasis International.

L.A.’s Blueprint Entertainment has used the funds generated by a recent VC investment led by Robert Lantos and Jeff Sagansky to acquire a significant stake in Toronto-based distributor Oasis International.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Oasis president Peter Emerson will continue to head up the company. Oasis currently handles more than 3,000 hours of programming, making it one of the largest independent distributors in North America. Its variegated library includes kids toon Iggy Arbuckle.
