Cartoon Network is taking action-adventure Toonami block (airing Saturday nights 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.) to the streets this summer with a nationwide skateboarding tour slated to hit 11 US cities including Miami, Atlanta, Cleveland and Chicago.

The event centers around Toonami Klik, a street competition for skateboarders ages nine to 14. The kids will compete against each other in their various age groups and accumulate points. The top three scorers in each category will then square off during the national championship being held on August 1 in LA.

The free event is open to any un-sponsored skaters and the competition grounds will host kiosks featuring video games and Toonami programming as well as an open half-pipe.

More tour info can be found at www.toonamiklik.com, and weekly webisodes detailing the competition outcomes will be broadcast on CN’s free online portal ToonamiJetstream.com.
