People moves: MGM names Marenzi co-prez

TV vet Gary Marenzi has joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios as co-president of worldwide television, sharing overall responsibility for the division with Jim Packer. Marenzi is overseeing the studio's television sales operations and, on a day-to-day basis, is focusing on the international marketplace. Meanwhile Packer is looking after television distribution, channels and digital media for North America.

TV vet Gary Marenzi has joined Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios as co-president of worldwide television, sharing overall responsibility for the division with Jim Packer. Marenzi is overseeing the studio’s television sales operations and, on a day-to-day basis, is focusing on the international marketplace. Meanwhile Packer is looking after television distribution, channels and digital media for North America.

The co-presidents will report directly to MGM COO Rick Sands.

Since June 2006, Marenzi has held the role of president of Ensequence, where he worked to develop interactive television programming applications worldwide. Prior to that, he served seven years as president of international television for Paramount Pictures.
