People moves: CN taps Nick exec for VP programming role

Former Nickelodeon exec Rico Hill has been named VP of programming and acquisitions for Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Hill will direct all aspects of programming for both Cartoon Network and Boomerang, including scheduling, on-air event planning and program acquisitions.

Former Nickelodeon exec Rico Hill has been named VP of programming and acquisitions for Cartoon Network and Boomerang. Hill will direct all aspects of programming for both Cartoon Network and Boomerang, including scheduling, on-air event planning and program acquisitions. Based in CN’s Atlanta, Georgia HQ, he’ll report directly to Bob Higgins, SVP programming and development for Cartoon Network US.

Hill comes to CN after spending 10 years with Nickelodeon, where rose through the ranks to become executive director of production and development for Nickelodeon Animation. At the company he oversaw hit series including Danny Phantom, The Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron.
