To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars (yes, 30th!), Lucas has completely redesigned www.starwars.com. The official 10,000-page repository for all things Luke-and-Leila related relaunches tomorrow, May 25. User-generated content is one of the chief features of the revamped site, and fans will be able to merge their homemade videos with up to 250 scenes from the two Star Wars trilogies via on-line editing software.

Also on the video front, hundreds of previously seen and new clips – including UCG pieces, five years worth of Star Wars Fan Movie Festival shorts and mini-documentaries on the making of the saga – will be on offer. And over the coming months, new content and games will be added to the global site, which also gives users the opportunity to interact with each other around the world.
