People moves: Russ Berrie appoints new chair and vice chair

Oakland, New Jersey-based infant and juvenile gift manufacturer Russ Berrie and Company's board of directors has named Michael Zimmerman as chairman and Ralph Benaroya as vice chairman. At the same time, the board was reduced to nine from 12 members.

Oakland, New Jersey-based infant and juvenile gift manufacturer Russ Berrie and Company’s board of directors has named Michael Zimmerman as chairman and Ralph Benaroya as vice chairman. At the same time, the board was reduced to nine from 12 members.

Both Zimmerman and Benaroya have backgrounds in retail, which Berrie CEO Andy Gatto intends to tap.
