Activision isn’t bucking the trend towards scoring booming video game sales this year. The Santa Monica, California-based gameco had a record take for fiscal 2007, generating a net income of US$85.8 million, doubling last year’s US$40.3 million figure. Meanwhile net revenues rang in at US$1.51 billion, up from 2006’s US$1.47 billion.
The strength of Call of Duty 3, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Tony Hawk’s Project 8 and Guitar Hero II drove the sales bonanza.
Looking to fiscal 2008, Activision is predicting a 19% rise in net revenues to US$1.8 billion.
