Casper is heading back to the classroom to learn to curb his not-so-friendly nature in Casper’s Scare School, a new direct-to-video from Classic Media and Genius Products. This time around he’s got a lot of marketing support behind him. Set for launch on August 21, the DVD will be backed by national TV, radio and print ad campaigns, a website (www.casperscareschool.com), and an appearance on Cartoon Network in the fall.

Classic Media has also partnered with Red Robin Restaurants to create a Casper’s Scare School-themed kids’ menu and is joining up with Baskin-Robbins Sugar Free Hard Candies to put a Casper’s Scare School burst on 1.7 million packages of the sweets.

The voice cast for the new DVD includes the star power of Jim Belushi, Bob Saget and Devon Werkheiser, from Ned’s Declassified, as the friendly ghost, himself.
