Studio B, WGBH give a shout-out to Martha Speaks

PBS producer WGBH Boston has joined forces with Vancouver, Canada's Studio B Productions to develop and co-produce Martha Speaks. Based on the award-winning books of the same name by Susan Meddaugh, the new animated series is about a dog with a hunger for alphabet soup that ends up giving her the ability to speak to humans.

PBS producer WGBH Boston has joined forces with Vancouver, Canada’s Studio B Productions to develop and co-produce Martha Speaks. Based on the award-winning books of the same name by Susan Meddaugh, the new animated series is about a dog with a hunger for alphabet soup that ends up giving her the ability to speak to humans.

The literacy-based series will aim to bolster kids’ vocabularies and 40 half hours are slated for a fall 2008 broadcast launch. Studio B is retaining international distribution rights.
