Starz launches three on HD

Subscriber-based TV and broadband provider Starz Entertainment is going high-def with the launch of HD premium movie channels Starz Kids & Family HD, Starz Comedy HD and Starz Edge HD. Debuting in September 2007, the three channels will benefit from feeds on East Coast networks and will be offered at no additional fee to Starz Super Pack subscribers, available via satellite TV provider DirecTV.

Disney/Pixar’s Cars and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest will be part of the initial Kids&Family HD offering.
