Hana’s Helpline will soon be activated in French. France 5 has picked up the comedic 26 x 10 minute stop-motion animated preschool series from Welsh prodco Calon. It will bow on the net this fall.

France 5 joins broadcasters in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ireland and Scotland who’ve already licensed the series. In the UK, Hana’s Helpline bowed on S4C in Wales this spring and has just launched on British net Five’s daily Milkshake block.

Thanks to a renewed commission from S4C and Five, a second season of the series is in the works, and licensing agreements have also been signed with Golden Bear, Random House, Redan Publishing and 2Entertain.
