Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has entered into a multi-year agreement with Plus Licens which will now rep Nickelodeon’s library including SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer in Central Eastern Europe.
As part of the deal, Plus Licens is managing key local partnerships for NVCP moving forward, including those with publisher Egmont, apparel retailer H & M and C-Toys and it is overseeing toys, apparel, stationery, food, confectionary and publishing categories.
Nickelodeon launched into Central Eastern Europe in 1998 via a 24-hour pan-regional European feed. Broadcasting in English, Hungarian and Russian, the cable and satellite channel reaches 1.38 million households across the territory. In addition, Nick programming is syndicated to third party broadcasters throughout the region with SpongeBob SquarePants currently airing on TV3 in Estonia, TV3 in Lithuania, RTL in Croatia, B92 in Serbia, TV3 in Slovenia, CNBC in Turkey and TNT in Russia.
