DreamWorks Animation SKG and Mattel have entered into an exclusive licensing arrangement for upcoming CGI feature Kung Fo Panda set for theatrical release next June. Mattel has snagged the worldwide master toy licences for the film, a deal which marks the first partnership between the animation studio and the world’s largest toyco.

Action figures, games, plush and role play will lead the toy assortment, which should hit mass retail in spring 2008.

Kung Fu Panda tells the story of Po, an inept and unlikely Kung Fu fanatic. Hollywood heavyweights Angelina Jolie and Jack Black have already signed on to provide the voices of the lead characters.
