• Toy giant Mattel continues to sign deals at Licensing Show. Hanes is on board to produce Polly Pocket underwear and Buster Brown & Co has extended its long-term agreement to continue to create Barbie-themed footwear. The newest line of sandals and casual, dress and athletic shoes will be available this spring at major retailers across the US.

• Toronto, Canada-based Decode Entertainment has scored a second-season commission of 26 x 22-minute eps of its tween comedy The Latest Buzz from The Family Channel.

Disney Channel has ordered a second season of preschool series My Friends Tigger & Pooh for the Playhouse Disney programming block. The first season of the CGI series debuted on May 12 and airs weekends at 10 a.m.

• San Francisco, California-based Viz Media has named Bandai America as master toy licensee for Blue Dragon, a new anime series based on the Microsoft Xbox 360 role playing game.
