As part of the brand’s relaunch plan, Nickelodeon is opening a beta version of the NC Mall for the online world of Neopets on June 28th. While the site remains free-to-play, first-time Neopets members will be able to purchase Neocash to buy premium virtual items for their pets in the online mall.
The NC Mall comes with a dress-up feature that enables members to try items on their pets before buying. Beta launch items include unique battle gear such as wings of flame, sparkling ruby slippers, rocket boots and twinkling pink tiaras.
At beta launch, PayPal will be set up to accept payments and the purchaser must be at least 18 years old. After the NC Mall gets off the ground in North America, Nickelodeon’s planning to take the concept global.
