Kidz Bop launches old-school talent search via newTube tech

Given the popularity of American Idol, it's no surprise that players in the kids biz are thinking about reviving the talent search. Given the popularity of American Idol, it’s no surprise that players in the kids biz are thinking about reviving the talent search. And that’s exactly what Kidz Bop, publisher of the CD series that has sold 10 million units, has done via its re-launched website (www.kidzbop.com). For the next two months, kids of all ages are invited to audition for the company by creating a video of themselves performing and then uploading it to the site.

All submissions made during the search will be posted on the Kidz Bop site, allowing the community members to share audition videos and even vote for themselves.

The deadline for entries is September 3, after which Kidz Bop will narrow the field down to the top 15 videos. After a two-week voting period, the four winners will be announced and rewarded with an all-inclusive vacation in Turks and Caicos for themselves and their families.
