FremantleMedia, co-producer and licensor for American Idol, has inked a deal with Lyric Jeans to produce an American Idol-branded apparel line for department stores, mid-tier and mass-market retailers. The initial line will focus on juniors and girls, but will likely expand into children's wear in the future.

• New York-based Atari is taking the wooden-block building game Jenga into the video game world. Designed specifically to maximize the capabilities of the Nintendo Wii and the DS, the game will be ready to ship for both platforms in November.

Nickelodeon is readying its full-length original movie The Last Day of Summer for broadcast on July 20 at 8 p.m. As well, Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp, an hour-long movie starring Nick's famous dynamic duo, will hit airwaves on August 3.
