New York’s Animation Collective and Miramishi, Canada-based Fatkat Studios are gearing up for a new cross-border co-pro. Larry Schwarz, CEO at AC, announced the pair’s plans to craft the half-hour, 26-ep action-comedy series Three Delivery yesterday at Comic-Con being held in San Diego, California. And heavy hitters Nicktoons Network US, Canada’s YTV and the UK’s BBC have already snapped up broadcast rights for their respective territories.

Set in urban Chinatown in an unnamed city, the toon revolves around a group of ass-kicking, kung fu practicing teen superheroes, who also happen to make deliveries for Wu’s Garden Chinese restaurant. The partners will split production, while AC will oversee worldwide television and consumer products sales.

As the current mania for multiplatform series shows no signs of slowing down, AC is producing 11 x two-minute mobisodes and creating an immersive online world, including a MMOG, based on the series. The show itself will bow in early 2008 in the US and UK and in September 2009 in Canada.
