Barney moves into toddler apparel

His purpleness - no, not the diminutive Prince, but the giant Barney - is celebrating his upcoming 20th birthday in style with a new master apparel partner. Property owner HIT Entertainment has inked a new deal with Franco Apparel that will see the launch of dino fashions for the toddling set.

His purpleness – no, not the diminutive Prince, but the giant Barney – is celebrating his upcoming 20th birthday in style with a new master apparel partner. Property owner HIT Entertainment has inked a new deal with Franco Apparel that will see the launch of dino fashions for the toddling set.

The New York-based company is at work designing an all-new Barney infant and toddler line for wee ones ages zero to three, scheduled to launch in Spring 2008. Traditional pieces for the demo, including layettes, onesies and sleepers, will be part of Franco’s mass-retail offering.
